Hands-on workshops at the University of Groningen bring up-sTEAm modules to life

During the spring semester, 2025, the team from the Netherlands is leading a series of hands-on workshops with approximately 30 students from the University of Groningen. During these workshops, students engaged with two of the project’s core modules, Biodiversity & Conservation and Communication & Engagement, both developed by RUG. The focus is on applying these modules in real-life contexts, allowing students to explore how theoretical knowledge can translate into meaningful, practical action. Throughout the process, the team will also identify the best practice examples that highlight the effectiveness and impact of these modules on the ground. The workshops aim to empower future educators and communicators to approach STEAM topics through experiential learning and active participation. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of these sessions and the innovative ideas the students bring to the table.
